After a one-hour drive to Elm we take a small gondola lift to the restaurant Tschinglen-Wirtschaft at 1482 meters above sea level. After a short refreshment break, we hike up to Firstboden (1747 meters above sea level) in about an hour. Here we find our spectacular practice platform for the alphorn with a breathtaking view over the Glarus region. For the lunch break, it is advisable to bring food and drinks. Alternatively, we descend again to the restaurant.

Please note: price of the gondola lift 18 CHF (adult fare) to be paid additionally on site. You can extend this excursion to a two-day trip and book a bed at the Tschinglen-Wirtschaft – either on your own or with an additional alphorn day.
