About Alphorn in the Alps

I worked as a Swiss banker for twenty years until I realized that the sound of the mountains makes us richer than all the money in the world. From this experience, Alphorn in the Alps was born in 2023. Alphorn in the Alps is a sole proprietorship registered in the Swiss commercial register for the purpose of «Conducting alphorn courses and alphorn excursions in the Swiss Alps».

You are in competent hands: For almost two decades I have been intensively involved with the alphorn. I enjoyed lessons with some well-known alphorn teachers, continued my education autodidactically and completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Music Research at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2022. I’m also the owner of the most complete website about alphorn music: naturtoene.ch. Thanks to my own musical career and my years of experience in adult education, I can teach you the technique of alphorn blowing and give you a lot of background information.

Of course, I play a lot of alphorn, too. Among other things, I perform as a street musician. But I prefer to be out and about in the mountains with Alphorn and Büchel. I often go for multi-day hikes, looking for the longest echo and the most beautiful view. With Alphorn in the Alps I show you the best places.
