Furggelen is an option for groups who enjoy a somewhat longer hike. From the top of the Ibergeregg pass (with our bus 50′ from Zurich) walking time is around 1h30′ each way (3h round trip). The path is relatively flat – only a short steeper section with 200 meters of altitude to climb. A little detour to Furggelenstock at 1656 meters above see level is optional. We take breaks and play the alphorn with a stunning view on the Central Swiss Alps. The nice restaurant (owner plays alphorn) is a great place to take lunch before we head back.

Off the peak season it may be possible to spend the night at Furggelen and extend your tour to an Overnight Alphorn experience.
