Amden is located on a hill above Walensee with a breathtaking view of the Glarus Alps. We reach it after a drive of around 50′.

In Amden we have different options: We park near the Altschen hut and  play in the area to Vordere Höhi, or between  the Naturfreundehaus Tscherwald and the Alpwirtschaft Furgglen. Alternatively, we take a chairlift from Amden village (price for adults 10CHF to pay extra), which takes us up to 1292 meters above sea level. There are various places to play the alphorn and restaurants for a break.
